Our Leadership Team

  • Bryan Hochhalter  - Lead Pastor

    Bryan is originally from Bismarck and BBC.  After being a pastor at a church in California, and lead pastor at churches in Canada and Detroit, Bryan and his wife, Holly, are back at BBC.  They both love sports, adventure, traveling, and riding their Harley Davidson motorcycles.  They have three adult sons.


  • Rod and Daylene Poppinga - Pastor of Care

    Rod and Daylene recently moved to Bismarck to be closer to their family after pastoring in SD. They have also served churches in Beulah and Anamoose, ND. Daylene enjoys interior decorating and designing. Rod likes to keep active playing practically any sport. He enjoys meeting and getting to know people of all ages. Daylene and Rod have a son and two daughters, and are “Nana” and “Popper” to eight grandchildren.

  • Nathan Seibel - Associate Pastor for Youth

    Nathan grew up in Bismarck and has been on staff at BBC for almost eleven years. Before BBC, Nathan worked in student life at University of Northwestern-St Paul.  He and his wife Missy have three boys and a small, mild-mannered dog named Yoohoo.

  • Alea Dutchuk - Children's Director

    Alea is originally from the Billings, Montana area and has recently joined the Bismarck Baptist Church staff. Before working in ministry, Alea was a teacher and preschool administrator.  She desires to follow Christ’s example in loving and teaching children and strives to work together with parents and the church to teach children to lead a Christ-centered life through faith, fun, and family .  She lives in Mandan with her husband, Bruce, and 5 sons, Tristan, Lydell, Dallas, Nevada, and Gabriel.

  • Kari Malingen - Ministry Enhancer

    Kari strives to bring Mary’s heart and Martha’s hands to BBC. She and her husband, Joel, relish time with their two daughters, one son-in-law, and friends.
